Go to market !! Sell, sell, sell...!Various members of the XOventure group have successfully launched, marketed and sold new products and are experienced in setting a suitable go-to-market strategy and positioning of a new product.
Many of us work in that area today as their main speciality and are prime contacts for e.g. building international distribution channels and expertise in various market areas and provide qualified input to issues like market selection or entry areas.
The Sales & Marketing Challenge: Once you have managed to develop a product against all odds - now it is time to market and sell it! However sales & marketing starts long before that. Work on the "Go-to-Market" strategy should start at the same time as product development as information from market and customers will flow back into development of a product the market wants and into the correct positioning of that product.
Sales & marketing goes hand in hand with innovation. One may have developed the best product, but due to poor sales & marketing it went nowhere. And vice versa – one has developed a technical interesting solution, but there is no market requirement. Creating a market is often uphill in spite of having a first mover advantage, since second movers might be in better shape.
